Easyspace launch .ASIA domain name extension

Easyspace, one of the largest web hosting and domain name providers in the UK, has this week added the new, and already popular, .ASIA domain name extension to its portfolio.

Having recently launched the highly anticipated .ME domain extension, this is the second high profile domain launched by Easyspace in the last month.

The .ASIA is a new Top Level Domain (TLD) enabling companies and individuals to show an online presence in the Asia / Pacific region. The domain provides a channel for businesses to expand by reaching out to some of the fastest growing economies in the world, a vast population and hundreds of millions of internet users in the ICANN designated Asia / Pacific countries.

Being regional specific, at least one of the associated contacts of the .ASIA domain name must be a legal entity in Asia. Assuming this requirement can be met, .ASIA domain names can be registered by individuals, organisations or companies.

Webmail Upgrade Notice

Please note that on Monday, 1st September 2008, Easyspace will be upgrading our webmail systems to provide an enhanced user interface and additional features. Access to the system will remain the same, your username and password will still be valid and you will also use the same login address.

There are many new and exciting features which we’re sure you will benefit from, some of which are detailed below:

AJAX Interface
Simple, clean and efficient is how we would sum up the new interface available within the webmail. Offering increased functionality and flexibility, you will be completely at home with the new system.

Firefox 3 Support
The latest of the popular browsers is fully supported by our new platform.

POP3 / IMAP via SSL
Our services will now fully support both mail types via SSL. This adds additional security when browsing your e-mail via Easyspace.

Improved Outlook Websync
Our Websync service now allows for full synchronization with your Outlook client for Calendars and Tasks.

• Vista Websync
Websync also fully supports the Vista operating system with Outlook 2003 and 2007.

iCal Support
For Mac users, our webmail now supports Calendar data exported via iCal.

Multiple Local Calendars
The latest release now supports multiple calendars, allowing you to create a new calendar and share this between other iomartmail users. Other Calendar enhancements include the ability to define the alert time of an event and the free/busy status of an event.

Easyspace win ‘No.1 Virtual Servers’ Award

The award comes from the influential Web Host Directory who, each month, encourages its visitors to for vote for the Top Web Hosts in each of its Web Host related categories. Easyspace launch .me domain name extension

Easyspace, one of the largest web hosting and domain name providers in the UK, has added the highly anticipated .me domain extension to its portfolio.

The rollout of the .me extension began back in March 2008, going through its Sunrise and Land Rush periods from May onwards before being officially launched for open registrations on Thursday 17th July on a first come first serve basis.

While the .me domain has been assigned as a Country Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) for Montenegro, it’s expected that its popularity will stretch to include use on personal websites and as a popular extension for marketing activities across the globe.

Easyspace is one of only a handful of UK based registrars already selling .me domain names and, inline with the requirements of the .me registry, domains can be registered for a minimum 2 year up to a maximum 10 year period.

Easyspace Launches New Pic ‘N’ Mix Website Hosting Service

Easyspace, one of the largest web hosting and domain name providers in the UK, has this week launched a unique customisable web hosting service for home and business users.

As a leading provider of web hosting packages, already offering a number of pre-built shared hosting packages, the company has taken this innovative step as it seeks to further simplify the web hosting purchase process for customers.

The Pic ‘n’ Mix package lets customers customise their hosting solution to better match their requirements at the slide of a selection bar, by allowing them to choose the settings of five key components – disk space, bandwidth, mailboxes, operating system and payment plan.

Costs for the Pic ‘n’ Mix package range from as little as £1.25 to £30 per month depending on the choices the customer makes.

Customers can choose:

  • between five and 200 mailboxes;
  • between one and 20GB of disk space;
  • between three and 50GB of bandwidth;
  • Linux or Windows-based systems;
  • monthly or yearly payment plans
