Easyspace win ‘No.1 Virtual Servers’ Award

Easyspace, one of the largest Web Service providers in the UK, has won the “No .1 Virtual Servers” award for July for its range of high quality, low cost, Virtual Private servers.

The award comes from the influential Web Host Directory who, each month, encourages its visitors to for vote for the Top Web Hosts in each of its Web Host related categories. At the end of each month the Web Host Directory awards panel visits the top voted Web Hosts in each category, and determines which are most worthy of receiving an award.

This is the second award given to Easyspace in recent months, having picked up the Best Dedicated Servers award for May.

Easyspace awarded ‘No.1 Dedicated Servers’ Award

Easyspace, one of the largest Web Service providers in the UK, has been awarded the title of “No .1 Dedicated Servers” for its range of high quality dedicated servers.


The award comes from the influential Web Host Directory who, each month, encourages its visitors to for vote for the Top Web Hosts in each of its Web Host related categories. At the end of each month the Web Host Directory awards panel visits the top voted Web Hosts in each category, and determines which are most worthy of receiving an award.


The award reflects the recent changes across the Easyspace Dedicated Server range, including the launch of newer, more advanced units housing powerful DualCore and QuadCore Xeon processors.


Additional improvements to the dedicated server offering from Easyspace included the bundling of a Plesk Control Panel, FREE SSL certificate an increase in disk space, an increase in RAM and the scrapping of all setup fees on all servers.


As well as launching the new range of servers, Easyspace also launched a new Budget Server section on easyspace.com, offering slightly older specification servers at knock down prices.

Easyspace nominated for a prestigious ISPA Award

Easyspace has been named as a finalist in the Best Shared Hosting Services category at this year’s ISPA Awards.

The ISPAs - the UK Internet industry awards - are unique as they are awarded to people and organisations in the industry by their peers and reflect the broad nature of the internet services sector.

Companies that have been nominated in a hosting category have been judged on a range of criteria including: performance, value for money, customer support, data centre security, quality standards and product portfolio.

All entrants in the ISPA hosting categories were subjected to physical service testing by Epitiro, an independent organisation that provides a range of benchmarking performance services across dial up, cable, broadband and wireless connections. Over a period of 3 months, Epitiro configured a satellite to periodically download a file from Easyspace’s servers in order to measure availability and non-cached download speed.

Sarah Haran, Managing Director, Easyspace commented: “I am delighted that we have been nominated as a finalist in such a competitive category at this year’s ISPAs. The fact that our shared hosting service has been shortlisted, after independent evaluation, is particularly rewarding as I feel that it validates everything we say about our product and recognises the efforts of the Easyspace customer service and technical teams.”

The Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA UK) has been organising the UK Internet Industry Awards since 1999 to herald the best of the Internet industry and to celebrate innovation and best practice. In 2002 the awards were dubbed The ISPAs.

The winners will be announced at a Gala Ceremony, described by the Daily Mirror as the “Internet Event of the Year”, on Friday 14th March 2008 at the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, London

No.1 UK Shared Hosting Provider

Easyspace has been awarded the title of No. 1 UK Shared Web Hosting provider for September 2007 by UK Web Host Directory. It’s the second time in less than one year that Easyspace has been awarded the title.

According to Web Host Directory “Awards are given to the best Web Hosts in each of our Web Host Categories by tabulating the Votes they receive from our visitors and our Review Board.

Each Host is given a rating of 1 to 10 (10 being best) in 6 areas of performance, including Cost, Features, Support, Reliability and Speed.

The votes are tabulated and double checked for accuracy and duplicates from the same person. Web Host Directory does not permit “Stuffing the Ballot Box” for a Web Host.

Once the votes are tabulated, our Review Board takes a look at the top rated Hosts in each category and visits their web sites to make the final determination. We do everything in our power to make objective evaluations of each award winner.”
